CINNAMON

True Cinnamon is native to Ceylon or Sri Lanka. It is a tropical tree and grows upto 10-12 metres and has fragrant leaves and bark. It has a long history of use as a spice in Asia and is popularly used in desserts and hot drinks. Due to its chemical composition, cinnamon has ‘warming’ properties when ingested or applied topically (with carrier oil).  It has been known to aid the metabolism and improve immunity of the body. It’s warm and spicy aroma has provides and calm and cozy feeling. Alpveda Cinnamon bark essential oil is produced in Sri Lanka by steam distillation of sustainably hand harvested cinnamon barks and ethically sourced from a reputed farm company.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  • Put 3-4 drops in your air diffuser for a cozy Christmas like aromatic environment 
  • Add 1-2 drops to your black tea or hot water for improved metabolism 
  • Massage your joints with 1-2 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil mixed with 15 ml carrier oil for a warm and relaxed feeling (Due to high concentration of cinnamaldehyde, please dilute with cinnamon essential oil carefully as it may cause skin irritation)
